view in google earthFor a bit of local honky-tonk flavor, the Flora Bama Lounge at the Alabama border, is home to an annual international songwriters festival and interstate mullet toss. The road house was established in 1964 by the Tampary family. In 1978 Joe Gilchrist bought the establishment and in 1984 Pat McClellan joined him as partner. The lounge is a popular tourist destination.
