Elberta is a town in Baldwin County, in the Daphne-Fairhope metro area. The community was named for a type of peaches grown here.
The house has a tall hip roof which is the distinguishing feature of the hipped bungalow. These boxy houses are covered with clapboard or shingles, and one-story porches are common. The house style was common in the South from about 1870 to the 1930's. The later homes display Craftsman features.
