Pace: Benny Russell ParkThis lighted playground park was built using community donations and labor in honor of Benny Russell, School Superintendent, who served from 1980 to 1999. This park is located at 5417 West Spencer Field Road, Pace. Bob Leathers, an Ithaca, N.Y., architect who is nationally recognized for his unique approach he equated to an "old fashioned barn raising," was responsible for the park design. It took about 1,200 volunteers and $200,000 in contributions to make the children's dreams come true.
