Jay: Market Road Farm

Jay is a farming community in the northern portion of Santa Rosa County, where major crops of cotton and peanuts have been grown for decades. Established in 1902, the town was named after its first postmaster, J.T. Nowling. A short-lived oil boom briefly altered life in this largely agricultural enclave during the 1970s.
