East Hill: Bayview ParkA change in residential styles came with the change in economic conditions after the lumber boom. After 1900, the East Hill area began to develop as the town grew. Most East Hill residents were middle class citizens who built smaller homes than those found on North Hill with the exception of those that overlook Bayou Texar and Escambia Bay. The area features small parks, the largest of which is Bayview overlooking Bayou Texar.
