East Hill: 1801 East La Rua StreetThe home was built in 1934. An auxillary apartment was added on the west side of the house during World War II to assist with the housing crisis according to a government mandate. The house is situated on a bluff 60 feet above the entrance to Bayou Texar.

The hillside is covered with natural foliage to prevent erosion. The bay bluffs in this area are unique in the State of Florida and were formed by erosion of the Escambia River which empties into Pensacola Bay. taken by Denise Daughtry
